David Swann Wins

Wow. I thought Taylor had this on lock down.

Congratulations to Swann, he may not have been my first choice but he definitely has the qualifications/ability to be leader. He also was the only candidate who recognized that perhaps the party requires some drastic changes to be more competitive in future elections (coalition, name change, etc).

However, is Swann a sharp contrast from Taft? Can he create the emotional connection with Albertans that was lacking this last election? Time will tell, but in the meantime I wish David Swann, the new leader of the Alberta Liberal Party, good luck – he is definitely going to need it.
